County Commission District 21 • Sumner County, TN
Your Key to a Better Sumner County
People over profit. Responsible growth. A community-first future — rooted in transparency and a commitment to protecting the place we all love.
Meet Amanda
I'm running for County Commission because I believe our community deserves leadership focused on people over profit, responsible growth over hyper-development, and transparency over politics as usual. I'm a longtime resident of this community, mother of three children, a Realtor, and someone who believes local government should protect the people and places that make our city unique.
Sumner County, and Hendersonville specifically, have long been known as an educational highlight in a state that ranks low in education overall. I will work to ensure our students benefit from state of the art classrooms, well paid teachers, and most importantly, safety for all of our schools.
As a Realtor, I understand the importance of growth and economic opportunity, but I also know growth must be planned wisely. Too often, decisions are made that benefit developers and special interests instead of the families who live here every day. I cannot be bought, and I will always put our community first and focus on responsible investments that strengthen the future for all of us without wasting taxpayer dollars.
One of the greatest treasures of our city is our beautiful lake at the heart of it. I believe the shoreline should be a centerpiece of our community — protected, preserved, and thoughtfully developed in ways that create public spaces, support local businesses (I'm a HUGE advocate for supporting local), encourage recreation, and improve quality of life for everyone who lives here.
As a Hendersonville resident since 1988, married to a lifelong resident, I understand both our traditions and the challenges we face as our county grows. I love to volunteer wherever I get the chance, I foster dogs, and do so much work with the Gallatin Shalom Zone. I also bring educational experience with a Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, with a background in leadership, budgeting, strategic planning, and accountability.
After 12 years of the same leadership, I believe it's healthy for our community to have a new voice at the table and a fresh perspective on the future of our county. This campaign is about offering voters a real choice — one rooted in transparency, thoughtful leadership, and a commitment to protecting the character of the community we all love.
My Priorities
Sumner County has long been an educational leader in Tennessee. I'll fight to keep it that way — championing state-of-the-art classrooms, well-paid teachers, and schools where every student feels safe.
Growth must be planned wisely and benefit the families who live here — not just developers and special interests. I'll make responsible investments that strengthen our future without wasting taxpayer dollars.
Our beautiful lake is Hendersonville's greatest treasure. I'll fight to protect and preserve it — creating public spaces, supporting local businesses, and ensuring our shoreline is a source of joy and community pride for generations to come.
